Whether you should be able to see it at all from south of Leyawiin is a legit question. At that increased distance, the angle will be gentler than from the very north of Blackwood, so angle in picture seems reasonably close to accurate.

The screenshot in first post is from the very south of Blackwood, a little below the city of Leyawiin. It should have the dark anchor over it, but since the DLC zones seem to be outside of the whole period of time when the Soulburst happened, they probably respectfully disagree. Certainly closer to North than exactly diagonal 45 degrees Northwest.įrom the northern bridge in Blackwood, if you can see it from there, it should be about 35 degrees west of north. WGT is NW of Leyawiin, but not offset by much. Not to blow off anyone's arguments btw, detail is super important to me, too. I think its an acceptable "handling" for the sake of cool to say that the tower's metaphysical nature might make it more visible across all of Tamriel than its real height would really allow.Īs for its direction/placement, I didn't notice. haven't thought about it enough, but you can also see The Tower from the southern peaks of ES5, so it could be a deliberate compromise in order to do something cool. I don't know about the scale stuff - I obvs. So, the best we can do is hope and pray that situation changes in some way such that this division would no longer be a barrier. So as it is now, you either get the team working on new content, or working on the old content, and he believes everyone wants to see new places. Rich recently said that the world gals/guys would love to update base-game zones, but that they only have so much time. So much so that if they were to do Reaper's March today, I reckon it would be a thousand-fold improvement. I like to think this is because they've heard how important this stuff is to the community and they take pride in creating the amazing world they do. That you can't also see it from Reaper's March is because ZOS' fidelity to the more recent ES game maps have increased hugely compared to the launch zones. The fact that you can see WGT from Blackwood is attention to detail, and I love it.
